Hi, my friends!
I hope you are doing well and that you had a great summer, full of reading and writing! On my side, since I started a new job in June, I couldn't take any days off and the pace was a little difficult at first. But everything is fine! I've found my little routine, which means I have more time to write, and therefore to write to you!
This weekend, I published a rather personal story on Medium (my stories are all personal in reality) and I think you will like it. I would like to thank Jessica again, who inspired me to write this text.
Why am I talking to you about this? Well, because it's about writing, of course! I just asked myself this question: Why Do Do We Write?
I enjoyed writing this story, and many of you have found yourselves in it. Your responses filled me with joy! If you ever have something more to say, or if you want to share other ideas about it, answer this letter!
I also discovered a fabulous poet, and you may have already read it. But I had to tell you about him here, because I was so amazed by his talent. His name is Ansel Allen.
For example, read these 3 poems:
Life Tastes Like Salt Because Someone Took All The Water
I Lost my Mother, my Father, and the Rain on the Same Day
In the last newsletter (which I have since updated), I forgot to mention a tool I use every day when I write in English. This is the well-known Grammarly. Did you know that the Grammarly extension for Chrome also works with Medium? This means that when you activate it and write on Medium, Grammarly automatically suggests corrections! These are basic corrections if you use the free version of the tool (which is my case) but it still removes almost all the classic spelling and grammar mistakes that can be made. That's great!
Well, the storm is coming this way, I'll find something to eat before I go back to write. I hope these few lines will make you have a good time! Thank you again for subscribing to this newsletter — a huge hug to those who have chosen the paid subscription, I will never disappoint you — and for trusting me in this adventure.
See you soon!
